    A bad site is a site that's been penalized or banned. However, there's plenty of sites out there that haven't been caught yet for using shady tactics but will eventually. Then your link to them will hurt you. Just don't link to sites that are obviously link farms or created for the search engines.

    My whole point is that people use all kinds of web terms out of context. A "link farm" to one person is something completely different to another.

    Apparently you missed the rest of my post:

    "FA (free for all) link pages are probably what is being talked about. I would consider recipricol link pages/directories that auto post live links with out human reviewal FFA pages or a "link farm". But that is just my opinion"

    Does this mean that even if I submit my website to all link farms as long as I din't have any outgoing link to them then it will still not hurt my website?
