What is the best way to approach this form of marketing? How long should one wait before attempting it? Also I thought we could use this thread to exchange links with like minded sites to help generate back links and get noticed my site is: www.swapezy.com
Exchange links with sites in the same niche that have some PR and that DO NOT have a ton of outbound links on their home page. Be sure the exchanged links are from the person's home page.
keep the links in your niche and make sure you check them from time to time to avoid broken links keep the quantities within reason. homepage links are usually harder to get but you can try
thanks guys, but what happens if you use an affiliate that is too similar to what you offer and you start losing customer's to it?
Most visitors don't click on every single link, they click on the most visible and descriptive ones. If you have a small 'related websites' section at the bottom of your page that doesn't jump out at the viewer then you have nothing to worry about. You could always setup click tracking via Google Analytics to see how many people are clicking the links, and if it's a problem you just remove the link.
Get as many oneway links to your site as you can.Try to have them on a higher PR then yours if you can.
Directories and Article submissions are a quick and easy way to get backlinks. Articles have the added benefit of sending you traffic too. Aside from that, blog commenting, forum spamming, editing wiki's, yahoo answers, and social media/networking sites are the main ways of getting 1-way backlinks.
sorry to bump an old thread but ive tried some of the things mentioned above with no luck, i get traffic now but no one seems to sign up! im not sure what the problem is :-( HELP!
Best approach to exchange links is reciprocal linking for your website. It would be better for your website for exchange link which is very relevant to your website theme. Thanks
