Just a heads up sorng this on my droidry for any formatting errors I am doing this on my Droid. Anyways for as long as I have known seo I have heard that 2 way link exchanges are pointless because they cancel each other out. Well currently I have a PR0 site and today I went on a spree trying to get some link exchanges. Some of the sites I emailed had PR3 link pages (and don't worry I checked to make sure they weren't nofollow) anyways if I get some exchanges with these sites will it help my ranking tremendously like I'm hopping it will? Also what do you think the chances. Are of Google sandboxing me? (Currently. I have no backlinks). Thanks, Ty
as you told that u havnt any back link then you should go for it.....you have to work a lot for backlinks...only back links and your fresh content can make ur site in search engine ....
Backlink is a backlinks, follow this principle whenever you do link building, no follow, do follow, link pages, homepage, blogrolls, link exchanges, 3 way links, 4 way links, man everyone of it counts, how much value it gets, leave it to the search engines, but you have a link for sure, you know that ain't it
Reciprocal links are better than nothing, but they are heavily discounted by Google. If your selected keyphrases have any competition at all, it's not going to help 'tremendously ' as you are hoping. When you are first get started, a few link exchanges might net you some positive benefit. But in general, you're going to need alot more than you can gain by simple link exchanges. You need hundreds and thousands of backlinks from all over the place. Much more than you want to have to be linking out to.
There are tons of ways to get backlinks to sites. Yes have to mix it up though so it looks natural. You can put backlinks on other people's squidoo lens...some of these lens are PR6+
I have been doing a lot of testing and don't think the "natural" linkbuilding is for real. I ahve sites that I built with all the same anchor text and they rank really well.
