    you can use link exchange with good sites, but paid link exchange not liked by google.

    Yes the info here is very sound indeed. The key thing to remember is that not all links are equal. There are "Good" links and there are "Bad" links. I leave you to guess which ones Google slap you down for.

    yes, Link Exchange Is Good Way For Getting Good Link.But Google Punished Paid Link. So Be Careful And Do Only Quality Link Exchange With Quality Sites.

    It's fine as long as you don't do reciprocal link :D
    Also, don't you think its suspicious someone wants to trade a PR 5 page link for PR 0 links?

    Doesn't link exchange mean reciprocal link?

    It will be suspicious is you are linking to a site that is not related to your niche.

    It depends on how you do the exchange
    Let say I have site A and site B, you have site 1 and site 2
    If we do exchange, site A link to site 1 and site 1 link to site A, that's reciprocal
    But if we do: site A link to site 2, and site 1 link to site B, that's not reciprocal :D

    Link exchange has no issue but if you do link exchange with any illegal or gambling websites so Google will penalize your website.

    Just visit the site and look around.Most important if its legal.
    Bad link exchange can turnish your site's reputation.

    My first preference is always, One way linking as your webpage's value decreases due to existence of outgoing links on it.
