How do you determine what relation is the site to yours ? For example in my case : Malaysia Travel Guide. Most will definitely says of Travel sites.. But what about sites on Malaysia ? Especially on Malaysia Food etc ? So how do you determine .. for yours ? just a food for thought.
I assume your site will have more content then just links to other places. Content normally means articles of some kind... If you have an article on a certain destination that includes a blurb on food, then a fell food site linking to said article should most certainly be acceptable. If you try getting links exclusively with other Malaysian Travel sites, you may find yourself severely lacking... So, diversify the content on the site, but keep the common theme Malaysia, and then Travel, and get links relevant to the individual content, and all should likely be swell.
