Hi. I see that lots of people think that link exchange is no more so good to promote a website. I know it's a bit old and lots of guys say that search engines don't appreciate this technique. So, link exchange still works or not ?
According you what kind of technique search engine appreciated. according to me informative content what do you think
It still works to drive traffic to each others website. You can exchange relevant links to form a network As far as i know, the reciprocal links have been greatly devalued in Google in recent times, they are still of some value. Relevant link exchanges would still help
I think a three way link strategy is better if you are after SERP placements on Google. Two way usually doesn't pass PR and the link have very poor repretation.
I think is a BIIIG difference between buying a link and link exchange. I'm not asking that buying links works, I'm asking about link exchange...
Hey Pirate, Here is the deal with link exchanges. It absolutely works, it is just that most noobs believe anything they read on blogs, so then they go around and spread the wrong information to others. Now, of course one-way links are better but link exchanges still works. I am not just saying this, I have over 100 websites, I do internet marketing full time, and I know it works because of my experience. Hopefully it cleared it up a little.
Reciprocal Linking still works, Yes! The only devaluation that I can see from my experience is devaluation of reciprocal linking between unrelated sites. Google used to value these high if site quality, PR was good, etc. But you need to do Reciprocal links with 'themed' websites only. And with the right anchor text, these do still work!
Like others have said (above) -- reciprocals with RELATED SITES will always be looked upon favorably by Google. I think its better to have way more ONE-WAY inbound links, for maximum effect (I have 6,700+ links coming TOWARD my domain.......only 37 links going the other way) My links page is primarily directed at DISC JOCKEYS and DJs in various states -- ALL of my outbound links are related sites because they have matching KW to my web site. Other than DJs, I have one photographer (PR 3) and a murder mystery company (PR 3), linking from my Home Page.
Good quality backlinks from relevant sites and with good PR still hold great reputation in SEO strategy and helps get ranking in Search Engine..
Its depends upon you links. If you have good quality, high ranking and good traffic links then it will be very beneficial for you site.
ever tried one?... It helps driving the traffic into your site, and with good and interesting contents it sure to get a good number of traffic(and if your lucky you might also get other link partners)
Some people might say that link exchange is totally dead, but it is not. Google is giving less importance to them. Link back from any sites will not hurt you, but be careful. Linking out to bad site,can hurt you. But make sure you do not have more than 25 links pointing out from your link partner pages
Search engines algorithm follows number of quality inbound links that connects to ur site to present SERP. If link exchange is not a good technique, then how will you gain the links. Directory submission may come to end, but the quality link exchange will maintains its level in seo. I prefer link exchange and search engines never mentioned that link exchange is not good or restricted.
