Hi, just a quick question for you. I'm currently working on link exchanges with site's with relevant content/similar info, etc etc. The thing is, all the links from these sites will be on their "links" page. The site themselves have a high PR, but I'm guessing this PR doesn't count for their "/links.html" page. Will linking with these sites still help my PR/Google ranking? Thanks guys
Unless that page has a higher PR, you won't get the PR from the font page. Of course, back links help, but not if they're PR0 (from what I understand, might be wrong)
Thanks for the quick reply. Heres an example of what I mean: www.example.com = PR5 But my link will go on their links page www.example.com/links.html = PR n/a Does this mean that the index page's PR5 counts for nothing?
As I understand it, the PR of the index page will eventually get ranked (unless it is banned by Google), but the juice from that page will probably be highly diluted, especially if it has lots of links. This is one of the reasons I have not pursued link exchanges. Rich
