Just agreed to a link exhange with a site who is linking to my homepage from his links page (a PR6), and I am going to link back to him from my links page. He does not seem to care where on his website I point the link to. The reason I am doing the link exchange is that on his main website, there is a blog page which has a few blogs that relate to the theme of my website. So when I put a link back to him, should I link to his homepage or his blog page which has the related content? From a marketing perspective, I noticed this. 1. Both his homepage and his blog page are PR7s, but the blog page has a higher future PR ranking by .5 2. There are 5 times more links from various sites pointing to his blog page than his homepage. 3. There is 50% more search engine saturation for his homepage than his blog page. 4. The material my website members would be more interested in would be on his blog page. That being said, where should I point his link to?
If he doesn't care give him a link from a deep page that is not cached in google, that way you don't lose any pr
Loose or lose? It is well written that outbound links do erode PR from the page? If this is not the case please clarify as I am always willing to learn. Thanks
