As always, thanks for looking :)

    Long-winded post to follow:

This morning a link request came to me that had me scratching my head. It was a hotel site-their webmaster put our link up and then requested a recip. Assuming that a requester's site is somewhat relevant to us and not spammy I put their links up as soon as I get a chance. While reading his e-mail I clicked on his URL to the page where our link was located, and sure enough his page had no cache and no pagerank. Thinking that the page must have been new I clicked around on their site, and it turned out that the only page on their entire website that had pagerank and google cache was their PR5 homepage

I checked their robots.txt file, looking for a nofollow tag, and that wasn't it-so I finally took a closer look at their URLs. Every single URL on their site (except for the homepage URL) looks something like this:

www.theirdomain.com/index.jsp?cid=6...et some help. Suggestions much appreciated :)

Couldnt tell you, what the rationale would be, butif you feel bad for the guy you should reply to him, with basically the info you posted here. He might have some resources available to him at work that could help him. Your just pushing him in the right direction.
