Too busy threads sink too quickly with people selling stuff. What about a sub category over that way????
Start posting your exchanges now as usually a new category doesn't get added until there is a need. I haven't seen many posts for link exchanges up to this point.
Hello, I think it will be good idea but with Rule to not making a mess For example if anyone interested just write email or url nothing more and interested guys will Pm or drop email. But general i like the idea
How about you guys just starting one thread to exchange links and everyone who wants to put up his site has one post to do so. Interested ones will PM you. That way the thread keeps getting bumped naturally
Once the search engines pick up on the keyphrase "link exchange" you'll get hundreds of people spamming their link farms. Do you not think it's better to keep the link exchanges on the forum between people with real sites?
Actually whatever drives new people here is all good! Just because they ask for a link exchange doesn't mean they get one. But I do (link exchange category) think it adds value to the existing members as well as new ones.
To be honest: my original plan was to kind of isolate it from the rest so that the directory section is more about discussing directories rather than encouraging regular web site owners to add a link farm so they can post there
That is not a bad idea because the whole link exchange game can get so out of control and all that 2 PR 3s for one PR 5 garbage will be very annoying. I would love to see it isolated so people don't have to get bothered with nitpickers who don't understand the bigger picture of web development and seo.
A Link Exchange/Sale forum and also a Sites For Sale forum were made as a sub-category of the Buy/Sell/Trade section. Not because I think link exchanges are a good idea, but to help unclutter the base forum. I've moved a good amount (650 or so) threads to the appropriate sub-forums, but I don't feel like finishing it right now, maybe tomorrow.
