I am working on a very large site, which has multiple keywords for many different pages, often having nothing to do with other pages on the site. I am in the middle of some directory submissions, and want to submit the inner pages to many directories, however I am getting a lot of rejections due to the links going to inner pages, and not the main url. In this case, since search engines treat each page individually, is it worth it for me to only submit to the main page, and changing the anchor tag to represent the individual pages? or should i just keep searching for directories that allow me to submit inner pages? Thanks
I am also curious about this. I had my first-ever directory submission fest yesterday and every time I clicked the "submit" button I wondered if it was worth the extra 20 seconds to submit my #2/#3 inner content pages as well. Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Having done this for a while, you will only get 1 link per domain. Therefore, go to sub domains (2nd.domain.com). But you will also find over time that the page rank you think you are going to get won't come.
i think you must pay to the directories for deep links. did you try to use article marketing to have deep links?
thanks for the input. I haven't done article marketing for deep links for this site yet. I want to be careful which directories i submit to, so i'm taking my with directory submission before I venture out to article and blog submissions.
