Link Development Using Pingomatic - Can It Harm My Site?

I keep hearing conflicting information regarding Pingomatic. Everyone says to use it to build links, but some say only ping once per day while others say you should ping after every post. Can someone please tell me what is the correct answer. I currently have a wordpress blog and pingomatic is installed to ping after each post. I am trying to determine if I need to remove this feature since I post more than once a day. I don't want to get banned. Thanks for any help!

 

Ping it when you have new content. Then you can't go wrong.

if you are using wordpress for blogging, then you are already pinging pingomatic after every post by default so it cannot go wrong

 

No it won't but don't do to much

 

So, if I wrote 6 or 7 400 word articles a day and posted...Pingomatic will not ban me?
