Are you talking about free link building? if yes then i believe commenting on High PR blogs is good. There are many link building techniques. the best method is the get the link juice from every possible, opting for just one source is not a wise decision.

blog comments, social bookmarking and articles (links on the siggie) are still th best for me.. they are not only giving backlinks but helps in getting traffic..

 

My experiance has been that the forum links have been benefitial. More so in that the forum linking needs to be suited to the site it links to. This generates interest from the forum members and inturn, Generaly produces more links from the forum members linking to there sites becouse its relevent.
So your one link from this forum, May generate 2 dozen links if done right, Or cut your throught if just posting for the sake of posting.

Forum links are ok but you need high PR backlinks and also links from other places like article directoires, social book marking. If google sees your website all over the place then your site will gain authority. The more authority and more high PR websites linking to you the better.

 

where do you post your articles? I usually post articles on ezine.articles.com if you have other sites please post here, I will appreciate your help
from what i now articles signature can help you for back links if you have hundreds of posts

 

It's not the best form of backlinks, but it definitely helps
