    • Search for blogs about music/guitar
    • Offer something, such as a discount, to guitar sites
    • Post on Guitar/music forums - add your link in your sig

Do article submissions bring quick backlinks or do they take months?

It would depend on whether or not the article(s) are picked up by other sites. A good article could be used quickly by other sites, if it's a popular subject. Unfortunately it's of questionable value because of duplicate content.

    It's still worth trying.
