I have two sites, both on different IP addresses [same host though] One is PR6, and I want to link from this site to another of my sites which needs a list in the search engine results. Am I going to get into trouble if I do this?
I have 7 sites on the same IP under different domain names all have been indexed by all the search engines the will be no problem.
not risking anything all domains act as their own for example go to mywii.com then go to ps3sites.com they act as their own domains so Google knows they are their own site the only problem you may run into is if they are duplicate info.
yha I agree with you people are too paranoid regular people don’t do things that get you banned the only people that get banned know what they are doing.
I am only linking them if there is some connection with them. As far as you do logical things in terms of your visitor's perspective, there should not be a problem now or on the future but google can do a mistake too. So in my opinion, be careful but use such advantages if you think you are doing the correct thing.
Here's the way I see it: You have a website index page. On there you have a navigation system which links to other pages on the same site, same host, same IP. Now you link to another site on the same host, same IP, but different url (viz different domain name). What's the difference? You don't get penalized for interlinking between pages of the same site, so who cares if it's linked between pages of different sites? The main thing is to link relevantly to maximize the advantage of the link.
I think the interlinking problem comes after a lot more sites (hundreds or more).. However, when linking my sites together I only link sites that I think the visitor would be interested in seing. Lets say I had a site about zebras, well I might link to my site about safari's from that. But I would not link to a site about say.. SEO or the stock market..
