    Hi,

Before 10 months i started directory submission for one website.I have submitted more than 4000 directories, i book marked 150 to 200 sites, i have back links from 10 - 15 partners sites and so on up to now.

Now that website looks like good. But when i find out back links to that website through Google by " link:www.websitename.com " it just tells 490 in google. Also before 3 months i got different result of websites from the same " link:www.websitename.com "

I have approved more than 2000 directories. But these directories does not displayed when i use " link:www.websitename.com " command in google even if i type that site name only in google then i got 337,000 value( but it does not display at least 500 directories )

    What happened these directories ?

Note: Google analytics control is not with me for that website.

Maybe that directories has no-follow link setup. One other reason google didn't think some directories worth a lot. So, some links would not be listed on the result pages. CMIIW.

May be we should a sticky for this :) link:domain.tld is inaccurate and you should use google webmaster tools or yahoo siteexplorer to get a better estimate.
