Hello, I am having the same problem. It looks like the Google link command searches differently based on the space. Link:www.domain.com - returns baclinks Link: www.domain.com- returns web pages with the link text. See attached article. http://www.prweaver.com/blog/2004/12/02/72-google-link Thanks, Bryan
Look at the blue status bar for the search results and you'll see the difference. Results 1 - 10 of about 55 linking to softgroups.com Results 1 - 10 of about 600 for link: softgroups.com The first search is for active hyperlinks, the second is for text occurances.
Well your rankings and PR may be different for the same page because it depends on the most number of links pointing to a domain, this is why yourdomain.com can have lower PR if people are linking to www.yourdomain.com Akash Kumar
You are using the wrong link command. Its not googles fault. The correct one is link:www.site.com with no space.
@www.site.com is the same as "www.site.com", it finds instances of the phrase rather than active hyperlinks.
Google's link command is not an accurate representation of how many links are pointing to you or even how many Google is counting. Google's link command is just plain a joke. Use Yahoo's.
