thats a good choice of colour you have.
It does not shout and yet my eye hit straight on the ad titles when i loaded the page,it is also good placement on the left there.

Just for fun for 24 hours put a large rectangle next to it with the same colours or put it above "wallpapers" it may not look right but wait to see your CTR.
report back and let us know how you get on ;)

Ok will try that out altho I've been nagged about doing that by the moderators on the site, they reckon it ruins the look of the site....meh will do it anyway.

Edits: Also I have it alternating between 5 different colors, what color impressed you?

I agree with your mods it does look cr*p but it will push up your CTR.

Then its your choice to move it around so it looks better without dropping the CTR.
the same colour as the smilie wink in my last post.

For my blog, I use a shade of orange for my links and get a good CTR.

That’s close to the colour brown/red that I use on about 30% of my sites, it blends very well with green.

My 3 main ad colours are:

    Blue
    Green
    Brown/red

Anyone have any luck with other colours.

With enough research i may be able to come up with an adsense colour wheel ?

I have a good CTR with blue (#0033FF). The other links on my site are also of the same colour and I do not intend to change it anytime soon :)

Bearing in mind that my site(s) probably don’t have the same traffic as yours, I have noticed that changing the colours does make a difference.
But my reasoning was that the ad must fit in the site. By that I mean the ad must not appear to be an ad.
Currently my main site AdSense uses the same color scheme as the rest of the site and it works better I think. It could be because the site looks more fluid, but personally I think it is because users think it is part of the site itself.

Oh wow, 1,200 is pretty healthy! Can't say the same about your CTR though. If you get 2% CTR, it's already 24 clicks per day. I wonder how come people do not click on your ads. Definitely because of unsuitable ads placement?

To be honest, I mostly unlikely to click on ads when visiting forums. I think some other people feel the same way.

I don't have a forum website. Rather, I run 2 static information websites. People get there mostly from Yahoo or MSN. That means the visitors are looking for that particular topics to read. And they saw relevant ads for that. My CTR ranges from 5% to 7%.

I can’t say I really ever understood the whole CRT thing, my CRT fluctuates between 1.1% and 2%, (I don’t always check), but although I get about 400 impressions I only get only 1 or 2 clicks. Now unless I failed math somewhere that means a CRT of 0.5%

Each to there own,BUT just by moving the ad colour a couple of places on the colour wheel will make a difference.

There seems to be 2 approaches you blend the ads in to your site so making it look pretty and I have seen some great sites using this met herd, or you have separate colours for ads to show there is something special about the text.

With the link bar I have found that a change in colour or even shade does make a difference, also remember you have to blend in the results page to match your site to have a real effect as its no good going from a nice brown/red to blue white on the landing page.

Goggle shows on their heat map the most effective placements for ad blocks yet some webmasters build there site then ad adsence later as a thought.
You should try working in the ads at the earliest opportunity and right your copy around them.

On some of my sites I have taken advice from google and put large rectangles ect in hot areas, it does not look too nice but does generate extra revenue.

I suppose the question here is do you want money or a pretty site or both.

Most of my clicks come this page actually

    Tutorials

The reason for the high click rate the other day was due to more visitors to that page, i originally thought the high clicks were due to a change on the main page. That page has an extremely high CTR, I think you can see why.

What am I doing wrong here? Whatever I set the colours to on my adlinks, the result page always show blue/green ads on white.

I would say that link color does not effect as such the ctr. I havent experienced any kinda of change in my CTR.

maybe you should build sites that are not about Mesothelioma Lawyers

also you have a large penalty on one of your sites for using the word FREE in the link.

I don't get that. What's wrong with using "Free" in the link?
