Ok this is gonna sound alittle off but what is link cloaking. Is it masking how the link looks that someone would lcick on to not show the affiliate hop link. ex. someone sees "http://clickbankprogram.com" and when they click it sends them to "http://clickbankprogram.com/hop=blahblah" or is link cloaking where after they click the link, in the address bar instead of seeing "http://clickbankprogram.com/hop=blahblah" they would see "http://clickbankprogram.com" when their are on the sales page I tryed to word this question in the best possable way but it even sounds funny to me.
Link cloaking is basically hiding the actual url. There are mainly two reasons, why you would do it: 1. Cloaked url, something like "http://www.superproduct.com/order" looks much better rather than "http://3wsda.blabla.hop.clickbank.net" 2. Also it helps to protect your original url. So for example, if the original url is a hoplink, then cloaking will prevent thieves from stealing your sales. To cloak you can use free services, like Tinyurl.com or Cloakreferer.com Or you will need to have hosting account to set up HTML or PHP redirect. Have a look on Google.
Wow! Awesome answer! I already knew what cloak linking was all about, but that just made it more clearer and understandable. Appreciate the information. Rep added!
