    You could take a look at my WP SEO Sniper plugin (http://www.wpseosniper.com). (Sorry, I can't have live links yet. Just copy and paste the URL.)

    You can cloak links with it, but that is not all. You can also do some serious on-page SEO of your blog.

    In this case, it's to hide links from the search engines that the site owner doesn't want to have indexed or PageRank transferred to. Affiliate links are a common type of link to be blocked. They use the rel="nofollow" attribute to tell the search engines that they should ignore the link and go on to the next one.
