How about redirecting a page on your site using your affiliate link. www. whatever .com/product redirects with your affiliate link.
I own a 4 letter domain name and do that all the time. The domain name looks interesting as well, not junky letters, so I might even get clicks from people who hover the hyperlinked words to see where they go. This works for me and I am able to track clicks, IPs and other info with my custom built tracking system. Michael
This is old news. An even better method is if you are promoting lets say, WidgetBucks, get Widget-bucks.com and forward it to widgetbucks.com/ref/link. People don't notice the hyphon shouldn't be there. Read about it on my blog post: Hide your affiliate links
