Link buying Question?

    Buying links from aviva, alive botw, joeant and others and paying $50-100, do you really get traffic thru them. Customers don't go to these directories to look for things they want to buy.
    Is it for PRs only? or for Serps? Where is the gain?

    prs and serps thats all.You can't get any traffic (maybe 1/day :D ) from any directory except yahoo dir.

    i have listing on most directories that you mention. i did not recieve so much traffic but they have a huge effect on your serp results

    Don't expect much traffic from popular directories outside of Yahoo.

    You will only get a small amount of traffic from directories.

    a backlink from a payed 6 pr directory is much better than a free one ?

    but the bottom line is that all the directory submissions will improve your SERP and then improve your traffic from the search engines, correct?

    All the directories mentioned in the post above...yes. But if you mean "All" directories then no...since new directories have a life span of about 2 weeks before they turn into something else or get sold.

    links in quality directories like DMOZ will help your positioning in the SERPs, as will the links you described...that's their main function. You will get some traffic from links in a directory like DMOZ, but the main benefit is SERPs.
