Link Buying Best Practice

    I noticed the forum regarding buying links is very active and there are some amazing deals. I was just wondering if there were any fishy practices going on, or deceptive deals I should watch out for.

    I know the google PR hasn't been updated in a long time, so is the only real concern that a domain was dropped and re-sold, and the PR isn't real?

    there are several sites you can check valid pr like this one for example http://livepr.raketforskning.com/ if the same PR shows on most server its normally ok. check http://www.archive.org/web/web.php see how long the site has been up and check google by typing in the domain name see if its indexed.

    plus look at the users reputations normally if a user messes around and tries to screw people the will have red of banned :)

    It makes me chuckle when I see that the PR scam artists are on here selling their PR8 links and PR7 links. The first thing I do when I get the URL is run it through the PageStrength indicator. It's amazing the number of PR8 pages have only a PageStrength of 3 or less !!

    That ends the discussion pretty quickly ;)

    yeah, you do need to be careful, as with any industry there are people trying to make a quick buck, but on the whole ive been pleasently surprised with the results here.

    i don't think any tool is accurate enough for checking if the pagerank if fake or not ... ;)

    sorry but that dose not exist they are all assumptions its all a guessing game its like me telling you hmmm your PR will be PR6 would you take that as a accurate answer? :)
