First, authority site was phrased by webmasters and not Google itself. The simple meaning of an "authority" site is a site that contains many quality relevant backlinks and contains unique quality content. By creating unique content that is useful to visitors and other webmasters you'll see you'll naturally build backlinks that are relevant.

No, build links to internal web pages is a positive, not a negative.

Too many low quality links to internal pages will result in the page getting a penalty from Google. If this happens try to get some high quality related links to the page. Stop all web directory type links to the page with the penalty, but continue to build web directory links to the home page (varying your link text of course). In addition, work on getting more high quality related links to your home page.

Bottom line, you have to balance out your link profile. If some internal page goes out of the norm with links Google will spot it and penalize it.

News flash, you don't get penalized for inbound links or it would be simple for competitors to link to your site from bad sites and get you knocked down in search results. Lets use common sense people!

Don't believe me? Pick one of your internal pages where you're in the top 20. Then get a bunch of low quality back links to it. There are plenty of black hat SEO services that will do it for you for a small fee. Remember, Matt Cutts said there is "almost nothing" another webmaster can do to hurt your rankings.

If your site (or page) has a spammy link profile you will get a penalty.

I don't need too, I've done my own tests and experiments as have 1,000s before me have. Use some common sense, he is refering to other methods beyond "low quality links" that competitors can use. Educate yourself on a topic before you decide to post about it or you'll never gain any steam on this forum.

Building backlinks for internal pages is a very good thing to do. I do it for all my site.

This will improve your site's search results ranking. And this will help to index more of your site's pages.

    I restate as below:

somepage seem 'deindex' but if you search "site:innerpage url" ,it will appear.

but if you search unique sentence in that page, you will get no result. I think it is something penalty. It usually appear on new site

    ANYONE GOT THIS TOO?
