It's true manual link building is exhausting though but it really helps a lot in link building strategy... Unlike automated you may never know if you link it accurately. You maybe like sending your email to wrong email address.
Link bait: pages that once people know about, will want to link to. Funny pictures, very informative pages, stuff that's fun in your niche generally.
manual link building will always be a part of the process of optimization (no matter how lousy it is to do). A good tip would be to do both manual and automated link building. That way you get a better harvest of links.
Hearts - Stainless Steel Magnetic Bracelet MSS-007 - Womens Style image is exactly the same as acemagnetics high resolution image. Correct me if I am wrong on this.
I've never automated link building, and I'm a little leery of it just because of the lack of control. Manual link building not only gives you absolute conrol, but if you are a newbie it can be a really good learning experience--an opportunity to understand exactly what is happening instead of just accomplishing the task. I think that pays dividends in the long run. Linkbait is such a shady sounding term, but the idea is dead on. I think in the long run time spent creating great content will always trump merely building up links. Give them a reason to keep coming back and they will keep coming back.
You should try www.receivelinks.com , you may change your tune. You have lots of control such as only your language + only your category (ie, relevant), min/max PR (paid account only for this on min PR), # of links per day/week/month, you can ban domains you dont want links from or give links to, and you can do as many anchor text combos as you want and control all the above for each. Try it with one site for 60 days, I bet you will do more.
Well, for everyone who's understandably leery about using an automated solution for getting links, I think you should try DIRZAP. It's semi-automated, which means that it fills in the fields for you (much like RoboForm) and lets you verify that all the information is correct. The best part is it's 100% free to use. No strings attached. No free trial.
Thanks WR....giving it a shot right now. Semi-Automatic may be the way to go. At least you know where you are being submitted and what info is being sent to each dir.
Hi, Relevant, on-topic links will create wonders than the links from the directories. However, its painful acquiring relevant links, this slow and steady process will ultimately win the race. I advice my clients if it all they need directory links, they should go only for major directories which are not many. I contentrate more on relevant one way as well as relevant reciprocal links. Relevant links from good PR site can be obtained provided the site has good content. If that is so the webmasters/editors of the sites will certainly provide links. Thanks
Have any of you had any real success with link baiting? People talk about it a lot but does it work well? The only sites I have had that get any nubmer of free links where sites that give stuff to webmasters for free. And even then it wasn't that many
One of the best ways that I have found to get backlinks is to do it virally. Right now it is very easy to get lots of backlinks by either developing wordpress themes or buying links within them (sponsering). These themes are downloaded and used by wordpress bloggers, and anyone that downloads a theme with your link is essentially providing you with a free backlink.
It does seem like a lot of effort, this link building stuff! However, from what I've heard, it's great for SEO and thus traffic. I think I'm just gonna have to put in the hours... :\
Agree. If you can afford it, hire someone to do it for you. It takes a lot of time to do a quality link campaign. I go in spurts. I'll go for a week strong, building from these forums. Then I'll take some time to build content. Then build links, content, links, content. Soon I hope to hire people to build links as I've already done so to build content.
