John, commenting on other blogs in your niche is a great way to get some backlinks and a little traffic. Other then that, you can submit your blogs to web/article directories, social bookmarking, signup at forums and place links in your signature. Those are some free ways to get links. With a little patience, you may be able to do some guest posts on other blogs which will bring you some added traffic and backlinks. If you make quality posts, make sure you bookmark them as well.
