When you put your site in all the webmaster forums in the signature does that make that site get more one way links = better pr? tanks!
Theoretically yes... But think about the amount of links there are on a forum website...on each page. The gain will be minimal I recon.
Some have begun using rel=nofollow for signature links within a forum to combat signature spam, so those typically will not help pass PR and such, but will still direct traffic if your site is related to the forums theme.
Surely it is the responsibility of the forum to combat signature spam. If members are contributing to the community then having a signature which can pass pr is like a little perk. Brad
Wow cause i have registered on around 50 webmaster forums and posted around 40 - 80 posts on each of them and in my signature are my sites :O Will my pr go up for them?
I'm not really sure if your pr will go up but from my experience you'll get some taffic from posting your sites links in your sig.
Some forums do pass pr or at least link popularity but Google has gotten pretty savvy about discounting all forum signature links.
Look at it this way. If you joined good forums you'll learn so much that your PR will go up. None is better than DP. Nothing amazing but my first website went from a PR0 to PR3 just from what I learned in this forum in the period of 2 months. Also, put some work into content.
I opened www.seosnap.com and i put it in all of my signatures and today i checked its pr prediction and its pr 2. but i dont believe the pr prediction!
I am seeing here PR 0 with no back links for your forums. Keep on one-way and relevant link exchange. Also Keep submission in Directories too.
