    Start posting your links to directories and in signatures and articles.
    It's hard work.

    I value links that real people go through, so they're the ones I focus on. Doing it for SEO purposes I don't beleive is a valuable investment of ones time.

    Try to sign up with few link exchanging sites like link2me.com. Here you can select your related links and keep on checking whether your ink in your partner site is live or not...

    One things that's helped me is emailing websites in your niche and asking for a link exchange. If you get a link on a site that ranks well, you can get traffic along with your link.

    Even if your site has a zero Page Rank, you can get great links from high Page Rank sites. You just have to have quality content.

    Content is still the foundation of good link building.
