    Hey guys. I have been tracking my websites for the last couple of months. Some are doing well while others are not so well. I notice something incredible while doing so. One of my websites is getting backlinks without any help from me. I purchased the site from Flippa back in 2016. And I have not done anything new on the site. Hell, I haven't updated it's content.

    Have you had a similar experience? Because I am starting to think about the website UX rather than marketing my sites through SEO and SMM.

    Let us share our SEO experiences so we can understand it better.

    Your domain must be used on spammy SEO software for this you have to analyse which type of links you are getting after that you can block them.

    Don't think its a good think man you should checkout the websites SERP. It may be possible that some one using your site as a blackhat medium (for ex. cloaking) for there goals.

    Similar thing i have experienced with a travel website. I checked in search console that there are backlink without doing any work. I checked those link then i realized that these links were built by earlier owner of the domain. They did not renew the domain. Their article submission and bookmarking was visible in my search console.

    Link building without a link does not just effect on ranking in SERP because Google gives the priority on content not on links

    If you've great contents on your site , You don't need to build more links personally . It'll build backlinks automatically .Others sites webmasters will add your contents links as resources pages on theirs sites .
    So, We should create great contents for our sites.

    Why not you checked the links quality and from where the links come to your website. If the links have come from the spammy website then it will be harmful to the website and its ranking.
