Link Building with Delicious vs Diigo

I have been using the social bookmarking service Diigo a lot recently, and have found it to be a really neat application. I always use Delicious for social bookmarking, but I am starting to think that Diigo could provide me not only backlinks to my site, but also a lot of visitors friending me and clicking on my bookmarked sites. Delicious has an alexa rank of about 700, while Diigo is around 3,000. Would marketing on Diigo be worth it, and has anybody tried it and gotten results?

I use Diigo frequently for marketing. The key is that Diigo has a much more integrated friendship system, whereas Delicious has "networks". It's a lot easier to share links with your friends on Diigo than Delicious, and that's where it prospers.

Definitely true, networking with other members is key. You can submit 100 of your own articles to Delicious, but that won't do much but get you a few backlinks. Having 1000 other members see those links and then save it themselves, in which their friends then save the link to their profile is how it spreads across the internet. That's the power of social bookmarking.. thanks!
