I have read a lof of discussions about how to build quality backlinks and how to get massive traffic directly. But some people think it is a waste of time to build links coz it will waste too much time to do a lof of seo work, but it wouldn't guarantee to get the traffic 100%. some people think they can get direct traffic from some paid compaign, like google adwords,or some traffic exchange website, like EasyHits4U.they think it is much effective to get the massive traffic in the short time. so how do you think it? and which way do you use mostly to get more traffic, please share.
It is best to utilize as many traffic sources as possible. Yet it depends on your current level of marketing knowledge and experience. If you are relatively new to MASTERING Traffic. you want to focus on 1 or 2 and get really good at them and then add more to your bag of goodies. "Most important of all" is to drive "targeted traffic" or more appropriately stated "buyers". That is of course if you are looking to monetize you site(s). Many of the ones you have stated are valid for example PPC. Each has its own positives and negatives so you have to find ones that fit for you. For example...do you have a budget for advertising? Here are a few recommended... SEO PPC Article Marketing Video Marketing Press Releases Web 2.0 Social Media Blog posting Webinars Contests Viral Marketing And there are many others... Best Wishes
The more links you build the more your traffic will increase because your position in the SERPs will increase!
Link building is a must. However, it is a lot of work. Those who put only a few minutes a day in link building probably are wasting their time.
i disagree! link building is THE way to get traffic to your site. I would suggest article marketing and spinning. You can also get direct traffic from article marketing.
I think people should choose the suitable marketing style for the website,it depends on the taste of the people. For me, i do think link building is the most effective way to get site ranked well.It should be keeping moving.
Build quality links and you will see benefits. AVOID LINK BUILDING TECHNIQUES that you learn on forums. You still see people spamming blog comments that are no-follow, and they should know that those links are massively discounted by algorithms. I would never discount organic link and traffic building. I run hundreds on websites, and my monthly spend for 99% of them is $0. The only two websites I actually advertise are traditional businesses I run. That said, you do want to mix your traffic sources. Experiment with ad campaigns, especially affiliate programs if you sell a tangible product. Don't be so afraid of a failed campaign that you do not experiment.
I have done PPC in the past and I'm an advocate for it. It's a quick way to get traffic. However, the traffic costs you money. I have often done PPC starting out, once I realize the site is converting, I really hit the SEO hard too. Once you have PPC dialed in you can just let it sit and that frees up time for other stuff, like doing SEO. I usually kill PPC once my SEO is where I want it to be.
there is nothing wrong with ppc or using facebook and other similar forms of paid clicks, but once you stop paying the traffic dries up, as for backlinking you really need to do some keyword research and define what your target keywords are to get then you can determine the amount of backlinks you will need to get organic traffic to your site, it may be that ythe keyword your targeting is soo competitive thaqt paid traffic is the best route, if the keyword competition isnt overly aggressive you can spend your time building backlinks that will get your site ranking. in the end the best thing you can do to build traffic is to provide quality content in a niche that has traffic. linkbait will push others to link to you and your position in the serps will climb over time with or without any direct linking on your behalf. with quality content it becomes much easier to approach blogs and websites in your niche that have authority and get them to link to you as this is where true rankings come int to play. one pr5 blog linking to your site in your niche will give you more boost in the serps than hundreds of crappy link directory links and other assorted spammy links.
It depends what type of strategy or marketing technique is capable of attracting good traffic to your site. You have to try all possible techniques whether its link building or attracting direct traffic to your site. However, content of the site and its regular updation matters much, you never know which would hit the nail on the head.
