Link Building via mass directory submissions

    What do you all think about hiring a company to submit to hundreds of directories in an attempt to gain lots of links in a short amount of time for a new site?

    Does submitting to, and getting listed in, all of these directories (say PR 2 and higher) actually help? Or, can it hurt your site?

    Thoughts????

    In the beginning it helps in getting your site indexed. However as time passes there is diminishing returns.

    The time or $ is better spent writing quality content, understanding your target market, demographics etc

    i'm hiring company for directory submissions . i make all submissions by myself.

    directories are great way of one way link building.

    you must use directories for link building. it will help your seo

    Directory submissions are really great way to get SERP and PR.I did't recommend fast submission.This can only harm u.

    You are right.Directory submission help very much in SEO.I got best SERP from directory submission alone.
