Do you think that buying an article submission in 100-200 blogs would cause some google penalties or something like this? The same article is posted in all these blogs.. plz give me your lights. PS: the same article will be added in all blogs. PS2: Do these 100-200 links in the blogposts would harm my site, where the link comes from?
i dont think you can control all the incoming links you have.people can link to you if they like your site.google also knows this.so they wont penalize you for having so much back links.if they do people will start sites where you can join and bring down you competitor by putting their site on 1000s of low quality sites,LOL.... but if you link to a low quality site, thats a big problem... now about the same post on 100s of blogs ??? i too dont know the answer.i will be tuning to this thread for the answer.
tnx for your answer.. but i would like to have an answer for issue of "the same post on 100s of blogs"
I've had several friends buy similar blog posts in hundreds of blogs.. their keyword rankings shot up so I don't think they are penalized for it.
i wonder what is the difference between adding an article to 30 blogs in 7 days (210 submissions) and adding it in 200 blogs at once? SE don't index the pages immediately..
Some people believe the "duplicate content penalty/filter/whatever" is real, some disregard it completely. I know someone who is very successful with his rankings and submits the same article to as many directories as he can find. I personally alter my articles so I submit a unique version to every article directory. It's your call really.
yes but how can a site be affected by an article that is not part of the site?? (the article is not a copy/paste of the site's content)
If they have lots of good quality inbound links, hundreds/thousands of readers and rank highly on google for their target keywords.
Submitting to blogs has become popular because of the immense value that a contextual link gives. These are not like your regular links, and because they appear between content, they look natural. The value of the links you get from these blogs varies from blog to blog. I generally do not prefer blogs which have only sponsored posts- I mean blogs put up for the sole purpose of selling links. The age of the blog and its PR do play a role too. You won't get a dup penalty unless all the 100 blogs look similar in all aspects. And if penalties do apply, they will affect the blogs and not your site. Personally I'd like the submission to be stretched over a period of time. I don't generally add hundreds of links at one go.
For sure it would not hurt because you cannot control sites linking to your site. But not sure about the good effects though.. Try to make your link building looks natural.
The effectiveness of this link building method depends on various factors: - Relevant Blogs - Use different articles for different blogs - Anchor text variation - Submit Links of internal pages
only the last factor is met i agree, most of the previous post make sense.. and all agree that these article submission to blogs, won't harm but probably won't give serious advantages
I think you are looking at one of those blog networks that sell you a post in every one of their blogs. I see these all the time and I think that it will be obvious that all of them have the exact same articles. It can't hurt but I am highly doubtful that they can help either.
Probably not. The thing is that with article submission etc, not all the links will get picked up at the same time and also the better ones will get recognition and the worse ones won't. Don't think though that submission to 200 Blogs etc is going to get you 200 inbound links. The duplication of content though not harming you won't actually benefit you either. You may get only as many as a 30/40 viable inbound links as a result of all of this. Then there is the "rel=nofollow" fun to take into consideration too
