    Very nice thread. I have been in Web Design for some years, but have never been in the marketing of sites. Someone else has done that. I am now in marketing and I was totally clueless where to even start. This is very useful information. It serves as a great foundation for me and will be a great springboard to learning more. Maybe one day I will catch up with the knowledge of some of the people here at DP. Many thanks!

    I have been told on many occasions that links from sites that are on the same subject carry more weight than just any link. I have spent many days trawling and finding links that would help my site with both traffic and ranking. It is a long and laborius task but it is what the search engines like so it must be done.
