1. Provide your client a quality site at first place so others will link back to them.
2. There are tons of ways to get backlink. Remember one thing and every DP member should take note of it. Not every single website is ran by a savvy webmaster like us who knows the tricks and benefits of PR. If you go to google page 20-30 for some searches you can find PR 5+ backlinks almost for free if you approach the owners correctly. In some cases I have had PR 6 backlink for life for free because the owner of the website had no idea about the benefits. So try this trick.
3. You can buy blog posts around DP which helps also.

But 2nd TIP is one of the best ideas I can ever give you. Nobody does it. There are tons of places to be exploited..

 

Helpfull post for new webmasters. Also prefer to using widget and make popular your articles which were submitted to social bookmarking site. The more people like your article its become popular and you get more traffic also you get back links from such social bookmarking sites. Most of the social bookmarking sites, mentioned in the first post, are allready adding nofollow to links (for example del.ico.us) to your bookmarks :-( so this list needs an update.
