can you give me more infor on You need to put link back to your site. Let your article do double duty- (1) bring traffic and (2) link building. You need to make your keywords anchor of link to your site.

WOW, this is one long thread and I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere. I have a new site and I set up a link exchange page. I have always found link exchanges to be a major pain mostly because of unresponsive partners. And if it's a successful exchange you've got to keep checking that the return link is good.

I use two purchased softwares and I have subscribed to a few link exchange sites. Still seems like a big waste of time. Since this site is new and has no page rank, I only get responses from other page rank 0 pages which are usually just awful. People aren't stupid. They want to kink to sites with a higher PR.

Any solutions? Is it worth it or should I just concentrate on one-ways?

And what's the deal with Link Partners? I've tried signing up with them three different times with three different sign-ins and I can never get in. I mean, do you have to know someone important?

 

Well personally, I think exchanging links for SEO purposes is a complete waste of time with PR0 sites. But, if it's a high traffic site that might bring you some traffic from having a link, then perhaps it's worth it.

I always try and aim for PR3 and higher sites or directories if I can. Brad Callen's new Directory Submitter as well as his Article Submitter both have PR's listed to so, it's easy to discern which ones are really worth submitting to for helping your SEO.

The Free versions also have a ton of directories etc. which is alright, but if you get the paid versions, their both real good programs.

There is never harm to have a link from PR0 site or page, but the investment must be in justice.

In link exchange lot of time and patience is needed, also the overall benefit of link exchange come down in recent time. Far better if you go for one-way links.
