Wow! Great post! It's good to see someone sharing great information.

I'm already doing much of what you say, but I'm not sure whether reciprocal links work that well. Google and other search engines attach much more importance to one-way links to your site from other indexed sites. The higher those sites rank the better for you.

I'd also suggest adding your site to the Yahoo! directory. It does cost, but I believe Google place a lot of significance on sites on Yahoo! because anyone paying their fees has to be considered a serious business!

Go for article directories with Google pagerank of 4 and above to get the best links for your site.
