Thanks for the great info! There are a bunch of directories to submit to here, wow! Is the power of getting in them (the lower PR ones) to develop the link for he search engine, or because people actually use them?

 

I didn't expect to see that South Australian Directory website in here. Don't you have to have a (South) Australian business to get in there though? My brother has a few links in there.

I just started my blog day before yesterday and i was in a confusion what to do for links! But you gave a way for my link building. Thanks a lot buddy.

 

link building is a strange and wonderful topic.

some of the things i use searches like;

football +add +directory

this will give me some football directories to post to
I then play a little and add a word like +free

then change the football to soccer and then to sports and then to footy

this way you can get some good results.

if you get some good sites coming back, add them to semi auto tool like in Arelis or WebCEO and keep them under your category heading of 'Sports'

if you just do this manually then put em in excel

I have just started to try out some edu blogging, not sure if it will work but will see.
I think one thing we overlook all the time is the search engines can give you the answers, the comment on the person not giving his edu secrets away really emphasises that. I just typed in my search 'edu +blog' and got loads of edu blogs to post on.

will post some results bakc in a couple of weeks and let you all know if it works.

I just read somewhere that the nofollow link in blogs is not being taken that much notice of by search engines. how true this is I have no idea.
