go to backlinkwatch.com OR yahoo Explorer It depends on your site and niche... however, SEO cannot be defined. By sending REPORTS weekly Yes, those are the STRONGEST backlinks
Thanks KathyMillerL222, for you quick reply. In sending a report how do you send your report (via notepad, excel, etc.)? and what Details do you include? Thanks!
I found this http://www.online-utility.org/webmaster/backlink_domain_analyzer.jsp as best for backlink checking. You can try. Best of luck.
I definitely need to check out the backlink checking tools, I've been searching for a good one for awhile now. I don't believe that blog comments are the best backlinks source out there, unless you're actually posting a link back to your site within the comment you leave, that also directly pertains to your site. Other than that, your username with a link back to your site only counts for so much.
essentially a link is a link-- so place them any which where you care- but there is an art to it if you wanted to get serious... if you are wondering - i would have a look for google webmaster tools blog and vids on youtube... they are a good introduction.. as for a routine -- not as such -backlinks have to look natural and not manipulated... would a backlink to your site really appear on the site you can get a link from? would i look orgainc or would it look manipulated - the skills only really come in when you are goin after the big keyterms like "bingo" or mobile phones - the rest of the time just set the anchor text of your link to the desired keyterm and surrouns it with content preferably in its own <p> tags... just og for it mate - theres nothing to loose by laying a link here, there or anywhere... social bookmarking is a good place to start as these get your sites cached and as long as the onsite optimisation is upto scratch -- google will sort out the listing of your site over time... Good luck and stay on it DCx
Well, there's a third option now: Open Site Exporer. It should work OK for US websites, from what I can tell.
