    Directories are crap - they might of been okay 5-10 years ago but that is no longer the case.

    My top ways for link building:

    1. Comment on niche related blogs which have dofollow
    2. Become active in a handful of niche related forums that allow a signature
    3. Submit useful articles to high traffic/pr article directories with your URL in the author box
