    Social media network may bring you traffic but the it may not be those target customers you are targeting. Visitors from there will probably never come back again after that. But visitors from search engines are most relevant and quality traffic. For Google Adsense users, Social media network do help. For me, what I need is the latter.

    The problem with things like Twitter is that unless you can consistently keep your followers attention, bombarding them with links won't work.

    I've seen a few people remark that there comes a point that they'll unfollow someone who solely focuses on promoting their site/article/blog/services. You have to make sure that you can be genuinely interesting enough to make your followers want to click those links.

    I agree that Twitter can help you generate lots of traffic - but I don't think it's quite the marketing machine that the hype suggests.
