I'm doing some work on my father's website for his business and I was planning to do some link building for him via directory submissions. I thought this is probably the easiest way to get a few inbound links pointing to his sites quickly. I was just wondering what paid or free directories are still worth submitting a site to?
This are the best directory on which you can submit your site. http://dmoz.org http://www.yahoo.com http://botw.org http://sbd.bcentral.com http://www.joeant.com http://www.tygo.com http://www.skaffe.com http://www.wowdirectory.com http://www.goguides.org You can also try the forum posting, blogging , social media and article submission
Thanks for the list of directories - I'll look into submitting his site to each of those. With the whole article submission side of things - how good do the articles need to be? My father and his employee don't have the time to be out there writing great quality articles for article syndication. Also are their people you can hire here on DP to write articles about the materials handling industry? On that topic how would I find out about good materials handling industry directories? Also is it worth creating a section on his site that is just syndicated news from other sites for the sake of creating content on the site?
To be honest there are people on DP who you can hire to do most things but Materials Handling might be beyond the scope of most of them. Will send you a PM about a couple that we use.
Thanks for info about dmoz. I just submitted my site there, found out they partner with some major companies who'll also put my site in their directory, cool.
