Link building through comments or through guest blogging ?

Iam very sure about the fact that Google is capable of finding the comments section in a webpage [read that in seobook.com and also got clarified by posting a thread here ].So that means it is capable of giving less ranking to links obtained through comments on a dofollow blog .Isnt it ?

So is link building through guest blogging a better choice than just building them through comments ??

Guest blogging is just like article submission - but instead of submitting them to article submission sites we will submit them to quality blogs or websites. The problem is its hard to get blogs for guest blogging and the articles should also be of a nice quality for the bloggers to accept. But its not the case with article submission .

Guess blogging, no doubt, gives you a great exposure. You not only get backlinks, but it brands your name, your expertise.. Provided you really offer a valuable post to the popular and reputed blogs that accept guest posts.

On the other hand, blog commenting is another great idea to fetch good backlinks if you write a real comment, an opinion, a thought.. and not just another creepy "nice post, thank you" comment. Of course, you'd have least chances of getting your comment approved with keyword as name/tag.

    Cheers!

Guest blogging is expensive though, especially in high PR blogs...

Guess blogging is much better because this way you get quality in-content backlinks.

    It varies..

If you comment on a popular blogpage that has achieved decent pagerank because of its quality and popularity, your comment (and actually the keyword tag if it is do-follow) will be counted as a good backlink.

On the other hand, if you make a high-quality gues post on some popular blog in your niche, it must attain popularity, gain some good comments and thus pagerank over time. So, you're obviously getting quality in-content backlinks from that post.

    Hope this helped.
