Link building strategy

Hey guys I'm pretty new to the coop and I was just wondering what kind of strategies you guys use when using your weight. Do you guys keep a certain amount of weight on an ad constantly? If so would this cause you to build too many links too quickly? Do you turn them on and off so you don't gain links too fast? Any thoughts??

    Thanks

I set 'em and forget 'em

I wouldn't get obsessed with the whole building too fast thing. Unless you have a weight of 500,000 I would just spread your ads thorugout your subpages.

I've actually been getting signifigantly more clickthroughs on my web related sites in the last month or so. I've actually been happier and happier with the results as a true "Ad Network"

Maybe you guys are starting to see it really is primarily an advertising network, with everything else being secondary. :)

I never would see it driving an insane amount of traffic from click-throughs from other sites, but... it's free, and DOES drive real traffic. I have a couple links that seem to get around 100 clicks/day with about 5,000 weight on them. So an extra (and free) ~36k visitors/year isn't too shabby I'm thinking.

I have even had a few sales on my non web related sites. I would love however to have the option to only display image ads.

I would put them on my forum right away. I just don't like when the single text ad shows up in that big banner. And because so few use images, that happens 95% of the time.

If you addressed that I would also put a bunch of banners into the system.

For free though I'm not complaining ;)
