Link Building Question

For example, if I'm active in top ten webmaster forum, posting 10 posts daily......

Would it be helpful in building links and improving ranking for high competitive keywords?

The posts would be quality post so I would be contributing to the forums on daily basis also, on the other hand they would also give traffic to my website, I would use only one link in signature means it would give good clicks also.

I think its a very useful way as forum posting is always helpful for getting some good links to the site and its also good to take part in a regular based forums which are active and used by the many people.. But as you said make sure your post would be relevant to the topic and you give the useful contribution by posting in a quality way.

 

The answer to your question is inherently NO. In terms of viewing it as a backlink, its basically useless.

However, offering your help for free, for instance, is good business which essentially makes your links in forum a marketing related matter. It doesn't have anything to do with SEO though. So, while it is a good thing, it has nothing to do with ranking something unless folks read your link and then blog or write about it themselves.

We take DP as example, DP signature link is not follow, even you make 1000 post per day it wont help much on PR. However, it help on traffic because those link is visible to public, by making a quality post, you are attract people click your link. In this situation, it help generate traffic.

High traffic site, make Google index more. As result, it help a bit to improve PR. How to improve traffic is more important than how to improve backlink, we expected high RP page will generate high traffic, but is this true? Answer is may be. High PR site is not equal high visitor site. Addition, high backlink site only applicable to Google search, Bing search is totally diffrent story.

 

Don't only dependent with forum some time its goes down then it will make problem in future.

 

Yeah it would help, you've still gotta use other link building methods too.

 

Use combination method is best. Simple theory, never put all the eggs in a single bucket.
