Ok, this question is in regards to my Valentines Idea blog in my signature... When submitting to directories, I am curious if I should submit my main domain name, festivityblog(dot)com or should I be building links to what I want search engines to recognize me for over the next month (valentines day)... If I build links to my main page, then it gets a higher PR when updated... but will I lose out on getting the search results to my Valentines Day page of the blog? Im just confused on which I should be doing... and if I build links to my Valentines page of the blog, wont my main blog lose out on those links and therefor my PR wont go up? HELP PLEASE! Thanks in advance!
If you would like to rank an internal page/blog top in search engines for a specific keyword, you are supposed to build relevant high PR links to the internal page/blog instead of home page. Else, if you're looking to improve the PR of the website, you can simply build more links to Home Page which would end up with increasing the PR for the whole website.
I wouldn't focus so much on PR. Results is what matters. Target certain keywords for your home page and target incoming links for those keywords and target your valentines keywords for your valentines page and build incoming links with anchor text of your valentine's keywords to those pages.
i have a list of bookmarking here., guarantee that all works I've been using it in months and its effective to gain PR and SEO rankings
If you submit - festivityblog(dot)com - then that is basically a very low value link and it doesn't contain any words you are actually trying to target. Don't focus on PR, focus on getting visitors and retaining them. - Dean
Pagerank is bullshit. You should focus on getting backlinks that generate traffic as well. A website with just a couple of backlinks but with great unique content can score just as high as other sites... Focus on your site first and create a site with "Link Magnets". Then other websites will link to you in time and people will bookmark you on social bookmark sites, people will post your links on forums and so on..
Did you even check it, because if you're really using it then you're wasting 50% of your time of more, I began checking it and submitting sites but half of the links so far have either redirect links or no-follow links - how exacly do you get ranking from these?
Of cause you need to build links for the keywords you want and the page you want to see high. But as I know, many directories disallow deep linking, so not every directory will fit to you. You could also try social bookmarking portals which will bring you some visitors too.
this is a tip pal keep it in mind. some of them has a feed url containing all links that you submitted to them. i retrieve the all and submit to RSS sites, i will upload some list of it. just only for you bro
