Link Building ONE Site to use for linking to your other 10 sites?

I'm pretty much wondering that if I were to buy a domain, and then start building up backlinks towards it to try and get as many backlinks as possible. Would it be beneficial if you then put up for example 10 outbound links, all being to other sites you own? The only reason for this would be of course so you don't have to buy/trade links for every single one of your domains (takes a lot of time, money, etc).

So it would look pretty much like this:

yourdomain.com (you get backlinks for this domain only, and as many as you can)

    - 2nddomain.com (link appearing on yourdomain.com)
    - 3rddomain.com (link appearing on yourdomain.com)
    - 4thdomain.com (link appearing on yourdomain.com)
    - and so on for your other sites

This of course will cut costs down a lot for all the links you're not buying for each domain, as well as time. BUT is this worth it itself? I mean, will this actually be of help to your other sites/domains in terms of PR and SERPs?

    What do you guys think?

Not unless all the sites are themed, otherwise links to them should at least be on other (related pages). You could a page for each site, and link to your most important pages from there. Or, it may be a good idea to just make a paid web directory and link to your sites from there and while you're at it generate alittle income.

You would be spending a lot of time and money just for one site. In the end it'll be just ONE link pointing to your site. You might as well take the time, effort and money and just build links for the 10 sites.

mdvaldosta got a good point, if you're gonna do it, create a paid directory, you can cover your costs and make a few bucks

I had a similar idea, have multiple sites with good content pointing to my main site to boost my main site. In addition offer links to all of the sites and keep 1 running html page for sites and duplicate the page on each site. I would create an html page to have webmaster paste right on site and I would paste their site(s) on allo fo my sites except the main site that would have selected links. Is that confusing? I understood as I was writing.

I think it may be useful but the outbound links may be a little higher

that is if your site is PR5 and if there is only one outbound link from your site to
    other site(abc.com) you own

Then abc.com may get PR5 but if you have more than 1 links it is simply not possible
