Link Building on Sub Pages

    Good Day to all,

I'm wondering, when doing SEO on your site (link building, etc) do you spread the SEO on your main page along with all of your subpages? When bookmarking or posting on a specific site like a social, do you make multiple links for your main and subpages or just 1 link per site? Should I spread the links for all pages? My main page is indexed for specific keywords i'm targetting (pretty deep in google, page 8,9) but I want to target the keywords on my subpages which have dedicated pages for the keyword topic...but my subpages are no where found in google for the related keywords.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Thanks

Target long tail keywords on sub pages. The homepage is used to target the main keyword(s).

I do an SEO campaign on every single page in my website. Even the About page, Contact page, etc etc.

You'll find that it quickly boosts your PR, authority, and traffic :). Best of luck!

    Thanks a lot,

Would I get penalized if I linked 15-20 different pages from a single website like digg for example?

No, you won't get penalized by having lots of pages on digg. Many people get pages on their blog dug on a regular basis.

If you're having pages on link farms, then that would be a different story.

The other thing to keep in mind is to use multiple sources for links, not just a handful.

Every page of your site has a unique importance for search engines. So, if your site pages have unique content, title, meta then you can target them for different keywords to get links. If you get links only for your home page then it can be count as spam for your site because ratio of getting links home page and sub page should be in 70:30.

I do this quite a bit, but not too sure about the SEO value !
It't more useful to get links from various sites to yours

To rank well in google you have to create deeplinks within your site.
