Hi all, For the past month I've been pretty active in link building for my site but I haven't noticed any significant improvement in position on google for certain words. Moreover, Google Webmaster Tools constantly reports the same number of links in "links to your site" ----- The questions: For the past 20 days I made some 10 links/day - and google still reports the same nuber of links (only 33) to my site in webmaster tools - Is that normal? All of the links are posted eather to social bookmarking sites or on forums that are "dofollow" does that matter? Is it possible that google has some advanced algorithm and is not taking those links into account, or is just slow? I thought some 200 links to my site from PR6 andPR7 sites would have more influence to my SERP, am I doing something wrong?
Google do not shows up all the links, if you want to know all your incoming links then you need to verify your account with them. Even Google will take time to update those links. If you are getting links from PR6 website then its great for you. But also make sure that those websites are relevant to your business.
200 backlinks 29 days to less quantity and time IT takes time months and it depends on competition Olso google updates backlinks once 2-4 months + it show just a small % of total backlinks Chech with yahoo
about me i got very successful results from links exchanging. i got couple of good backlniks for a newest blog, i got my first pagerank as PR2. and good google position
If all of that has been done in the last 20 days, then it probably is just a question of time - When you say PR 6/7 sites- do the pages you have the links on have that PR? Most of the high PR social sites are nofollow- twitter, myspace, facebook etc- where are you posting these links?
You can a link on a PR6 page but it wouldn't give you a lot of PR juice if it has a lot of outgoing links on it.
google delays the counting of your links. this way people can't just go buy 1000 links and go right to the top.
It takes time for google to find links and update. Just keep working on site and links. The more content and links the better over time. 1 month is not a long time if site is new or less than a year old.
How about trying a different technique for building backlinks to your site. Maybe by way of Article Marketing or Press Releases. I usually tell my customers that it takes between 1 month and generally up to 3 months for Google and other Search Engines alike to find and count your new backlinks.
When you say "linkbuilding" what do you mean? Are you talking reciprocal linking, which is virtually worthless, or one way backlink building? If its the latter, forget spamming blog comments and low value directories - concentrate on getting people to link to your site from their relevant sites.
this dude has already mentioned that his link is from PR5 or 6,so it's not the problem and well, as far as the linkbuilding tecniques u mention here seems not bad , I suggest , one hand keeping on doing what u do here and wait and see the results in the longer period on the another, try some other methods good luck
I would ask what link building method you are currently using. If you are only building links from directories at a rate of 10 per day regardless of their quality/pr/traffic then you better believe it that it will take you an eternity for google to count all your links as good. Just like in business you need to diversify ur link profile and avoid "link alliance schemes" that make your link building efforts look unnatural. In addition, I would also up that number to maybe 25-50 a day.
