Link Building - Keywords, Anchor text

    Hi ..

    I was wondering if search engines take in consideration backlinks with the anchor text being only a part of your tageted

    keyword ..

    Let me explain myself ..

    If I want to rank for the Keyword "***** seo" ... having backlinks with the anchor "seo" and other with the anchor "*****"

    only .. will it help me to rank for "***** seo" ??

    Any thoughts will be welcomed ..

    yes it would benefit, but would be far better if your used both words together for Maximum effect.

    I have noticed from experience that Google significantly ranks the exact anchor text, and makes only a small difference to ranking for the individual words within an anchor text phrase. so I would say go for the exact anchor texts you are aiming for.

    For ranking - go for the exact anchor text only. I usually mix my main keyword with 20-30 other related anchor texts.

    No it won't help much the efforts
    Must build links with targeted keyphrase as Anchor Text
    I hope you don't target no keyword related to SEO as i'm getting sick and tired of all the idiots thinking they know SEO and asking such dumb questions ...
